Dylan – Puss in Jack Boots is a romp through our lives since this feisty but adorable creature padded in to our (now his) house.

We were initially told he was 5 years old, he wasn’t, he was 10 but it didn’t matter to us as the first time he flashed his pale green eyes at us we were smitten. The thing is he immediately knew he was on to a good thing and boy has he exploited it ever since.

He is a unique cat and has moved in and taken over our house, our garden and our lives; he is the boss and enforces this status like a mafia on on a daily basis.

You can have full on conversations with him, he always has the last word of course and I am still struggling to learn ‘cat’ but he manages to get his message across and doesn’t suffer dissent.

I never believed a cat could be so all consuming, demand so much of our time or be so high maintenance. Since he arrived we have not had a single night away, says it all really, who in their right mind would consent to looking after him?
